Designing an Environmental Responsibility Report for MGM Casinos in Las Vegas definitely struck me as an oxymoron. After all, nobody goes to Vegas to conserve....anything, really. For that reason this project proved to be both challenging and interesting as we helped the client to 'greenwash' their chain of resort and hotels - without being able to fall back on any of the elements we typically associate with 'going green.' Instead, MGM wanted to promote the idea of green luxury, showcasing their ability to conserve without sacrificing any of the Las Vegas feeling. The project was a success, and the client even requested a second, tri-fold brochure based on the report.
The report was listed at #14 on the League of Communication Professionals' (LACP) 2011 Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition.
